Lori Smolin

Lori is a watercolor artist who is inspired by the colors, light, and shadows in the sights she experiences and photographs as she pedals her bicycle across Connecticut and other parts of the U.S. as well as England, Scotland, Wales, and other countries. Starting with her photos ranging from African fauna (not taken from a bicycle) to Connecticut stonewalls, English cottages, and the Scottish countryside, she brings her sketches to life with color and shadow. Her watercolors have won awards in the Academic Artists Association’s National Exhibition of Traditional Realism, the Red Thread Network Annual Art Show, and the Tolland County Art Associations Annual Open Art show.
