I’m a muralist and specialize in community mural painting. I also paint in homes, schools and businesses. I was born in New York City but grew up in Nigeria, and soaked up art at an early age. My father, the renowned Nigerian artist Solomon Irein Wangboje, had a big influence on my life and career choice. After college, I came back to the US to get my MFA and MA degrees. In 2003 I started my business, Wall Designs by Emida, LLC, and I have painted murals for commercial and and residential clients from coast to coast and in Mexico. I taught art in the classroom for many years both in the public school and homeschool group. For six years I was one of the lead artists at Dane Arts Mural Arts (DAMA), and served as the executive Director for 22 months before moving to the East coast to be closer to my children. Today, I work out of my studio in the quiet corner of Connecticut. Steve and I live in a restored farmhouse built in 1720, And our children live and go to school in four different states. I look forward to contributing to this community for years to come. Visit her website: www.emidaroller.com
