Barrel Project

Remember these trash barrels?

After many weeks of sanding and painting the barrels are back out on the streets! Each barrel is a unique work of art illustrating local businesses, community gathering places and just a few of the quirky landmarks and histories of Putnam, CT.

This project was led by Elaine Turner and made possible by the help and cooperation of our community partners and the Northeast CT Art Guild! Many thanks to Mayor Barney Seney, Karen Osbrey, WINY, The Art Council, Putnam Public Works, Willie Bouquet, Art Guild members, Audrey Waters, Ramona Savolis, Bear Hands owner Kayla Trant and Sawmill Pottery manager, David Sullivan for their part in bringing this project to life!
