Jennifer Atwood

Jennifer is a local artist from Brooklyn, CT where she lives with her husband and her animals: a cat, dog and horse.  She has been drawing her whole life, being taught by her parents and was recognized as a talented artist throughout high school. Primarily a charcoal artist, Jen depicts her love of animals, nature scenes, and hobbies.  In 2019 she started to sell her pet portraits to help compensate for an expensive surgery for her horse. And to her surprise, it took off! In 2020, COVID made it hard to be a Nursing assistant at the nursing home where she worked.  She found that drawing was a stress relief and put smiles on peoples faces during such a dark time. Jen believes that being creative is an extension of one's soul.  There is no wrong or right way to be creative.
