Day Kimball Exhibit

Artwork will be displayed in offices, physicians’ offices, exam rooms and the main waiting room. The main waiting room is open Mon-Fri 9-5. Unfortunately, because of confidentiality, people cannot just walk in patient areas.

Include your website or attach images of a few examples of work, because this is a juried show. Download, complete and attach the contract with all your details. This info will be used for tags.

Notification of Acceptance: Lisa will be emailing artists on which pieces were accepted.
Drop Off/Hang Date & Time: September 9, 2025, at 5pm
Strike/Pick up Date & Time: December 30, 2025, at 5pm

MEDIA: Artists may submit 2D work including painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media/assemblage, drawing, and digital media. We are sorry, no 3D, ceramic art or fiber art. SIZE Recommended outer dimensions of work should be no smaller than 9×12 and no larger than 48×48. Exceptions can be arranged.
ORIGINALITY: Artwork must be created by the applicant. All work must be original or part of a limited edition. If part of an edition, pieces must include the number of the piece and the total number of prints in the edition.
ARTWORK INVENTORY: Provide a separate Word document with an inventory of all anticipated work to be displayed. Include your Name, Title, Medium, Unframed Dimensions, Price (“NOT FOR SALE” [NFS] allowed) and a brief description. We will prepare wall tags to go with your display using this information.
SALES: Inquiries will be submitted to the art curator, who will arrange pick up of work and collect payment in full. Artists are required to pay a commission of 20% of the sale price to the art 10% will be paid to a hospital charity fund/10% will go to the curator the time funds are delivered.
WIRING: All work must be suitably framed/and or finished and have sturdy wire across the back. Sawtooth hangers cannot be used.
FRAMING: All work must be properly prepared for presentation. Paintings must be framed and be of good quality. Gallery wrap canvas or standout mounts must be 1.5” depth, no staples, and have finished sides. No wet paint. Photographs printed on metal, acrylic, and/or wood can be accepted if the presentation is current with museum standards with rear-framing mechanism and integrated hangers or attached wires. No saw-tooth hangers are permitted.
SUBJECT/CRITERIA: Images must not depict nudity, profanity, or violence as work is a public display, community space. By signing this document, you acknowledge and understand that we, art curator and Day Kimball Healthcare reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse entry to works that do not fit its community standards or are not properly framed/wired.
ADVERTISING/PROMOTION
Day Kimball Health may promote your display on social media and prepare a press release to send to various news outlets. The Day Kimball campus and off-site buildings do get hundreds of visitors a week so your artwork will have a built-in audience.

- This is a 4-month commitment: If a piece is sold, the artist may replace the
work with something of the same size. - Artists will be asked to sign a contract (see attached). The contract will outline additional details. Please read carefully.
- There is no hanging/registration fee.
